Séance Evenings

The candlelight, the history, the frisson of sitting in a circle and not quite knowing what might happen.

Atmosphere & Intention

Some people come for the atmosphere. The desire to spend an evening focused on what's usually ignored is a completely legitimate reason to come, and those evenings are genuinely memorable.

Some people come with a different kind of intention. A question they've been carrying. Someone they'd like to feel closer to. For those people, the séance offers something harder to describe and more difficult to dismiss.

The Tradition

The format draws heavily on the tradition of Victorian séance practice — table work, automatic writing, and collective attention. It is designed to be deeply atmospheric without being theatrical, serious without being heavy.

Both kinds of evening are held with the same care. andrew doesn't claim to know what happens in the room — only that something does, and that it tends to matter to the people present.
